ECEX Reveals Money-saving Air Intake Screens At HVACR Show

It’s less than a week to go until the HVACR Show and we’ll be there showcasing ECEX Air Intake Screens; money-saving solutions that improve indoor air quality and boost productivity.

The show, which takes place at the ExCel London between January 23 and 25, will offer an opportunity to view ECEX Air Intake Screens, which boost energy performance, reduce maintenance time by up to 70%, extend service life of HVAC equipment, prolong the life of internal air filters by up to 60%, and radically cut the risk of breakdown and downtime.

ECEX Air Intake Screens are long lasting, weather-resistant filters designed specifically for high velocity airflow applications such as chillers, dry air coolers, air handling units, cooling towers and air conditioning units. They prevent airborne debris – including pollen – from clogging internal coil fins, perishable filters and other components.

Lasting up to 15 years and cleaned simply using a soft brush, hose or vacuum, ECEX Air Intake Screens are the ideal first line of defence for air intake systems.

John Grenville, managing director of ECEX, said: “Particularly as spring approaches, and the pollen season threatens hay fever and asthma sufferers, it is important that we implement ways to protect them.

“A staggering 44 per cent of British adults suffer from at least one allergy and the number of sufferers is on the rise. One of the most common reactions is allergic rhinitis (aka hay fever), which is often caused by airborne pollen, and affects between 10 and 30 per cent of adults and up to 40 per cent of children.

“ECEX Air Intake Screens offer powerful protection from the runny and blocked noses, sneezing, itchy eyes, headache, earache and reduced concentration caused by pollen and, in the process, help improve productivity and morale in the workplace.”

As well as Air Intake Screens, ECEX also offers a wide range of access safety and metalwork, bespoke fabrication, mechanical services and energy saving initiatives.
