Installation Complete: Free Standing Edge Protection To Reduce The Risk Of Falling

ECEX recently completed an installation of free standing edge protection in several locations at a site in Uxbridge. The objective was to minimise the fall risk for personnel carrying out routine maintenance on site.

With falls from height being the most common cause of workplace fatality, it’s important that all exposed edges and risks are adequately identified and protected. Our free standing guard rail system provides a method of edge protection that requires no roof penetration, negating any risk of  damage. The guard rail is rapidly and easily installed with no need for structural fixings or drilling noise.

“Falls from height remain the most common cause of workplace fatality. In 2008/09 there were 35 fatalities, 4654 major injuries and a further 7065 injuries that caused the injured person to be off work for over 3 days or more, due to a fall from height.”
