Water Storage & L8 Remedial Works
ECEX provides a range of water storage and remedial work services, including the repair and renewal water storage tanks and distribution pipework to ensure safety and compliance for your water systems. All work is in full compliance with Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and the Health & Safety Executive ‘L8′ approved code of practice.
L8 is aimed at duty holders, including employers, those in control of premises and those with health and safety responsibilities for others, to help them comply with their legal duties in relation to Legionella, the bacteria responsible for the potentially fatal form of pneumonia – Legionnaires’ Disease.
How can ECEX help?
We perform a range of water storage and remedial services, including:
- Regulatory advice concerning existing systems
- Dead leg removal
- Downsizing tanks to reduced stored water volume
- Installation of delayed action float valves
- Water storage tank removal/decommissioning
- Tank refurbishment and replacements
- Distribution pipework renewal
- Twin tank isolation
Why perform water storage and remedial work?
Water storage tanks pose one of the highest risks of Legionella growth within a building’s water system because of their propensity to stagnation and contamination.
Water storage and remedial work protects people from the dangers associated with Legionella and other potentially dangerous bacteria in engineered water systems.
It also helps ensure the duties and responsibilities of those involved in the supply of water systems in your business are carried out in compliance with the law.
